Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse, Ambulatory responsible for delivering patient care within a multidisciplinary ambulatory team. Performs trained clinical tasks including starting IVs, wound care, phlebotomy, and in-clinic lab testing; communicates changes to RNs or LIPs; ensures patient satisfaction and a safe, patient-centered environment. Essential duties include preparing patients (vital signs, histories), administering medications, assisting with examinations and treatments, triage and scheduling, coordinating referrals/admissions/diagnostics with preauthorizations, educating patients and families, maintaining accurate medical records, and leading daily team operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience (or Associate’s degree in nursing preferred)
  • 0-2 years of experience in healthcare/clinical setting
  • Phlebotomy and in-clinic lab testing as required
  • Ability to administer medications and monitor responses
  • Ability to document and transcribe physician orders accurately
  • Ability to educate patients and families
  • Experience with scheduling, referrals, preauthorizations
  • Team leadership and collaboration skills
