Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed to support an employer-based health clinic in Dickson, TN. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with evaluation and management of patients, conducting patient assessments and documentation in EMR, developing and coordinating care plans, implementing physician orders and follow-up, processing medication refills, and providing patient and family education. The role also involves phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing (influenza, strep, COVID-19, urine dipstick), coordinating appointment scheduling, front-office support, and ensuring clinic workflow efficiency. Requires active TN LPN license, CPR and First Aid certifications, and at least one year of clinic experience; proficiency with EMR/EHR, Microsoft Office, strong communication, and ability to work independently. Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Tennessee
- Certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program
- Current CPR Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinic, physician office, or outpatient setting
- Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
- Experience with patient assessments, care coordination, and medication management
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
