Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse role providing nursing care within Allergy Partners clinic. Responsibilities include clinical support (verifying patient readiness, vital signs, assisting physicians, spirometry and allergy testing), medication handling and administration per physician schedule, patient education on pharmaceuticals, documentation in medical records, referrals/insurance authorization follow-up, biologics coordination, inventory/supply management, and liaison work between patients and providers. Requires HIPAA/compliance adherence, CPR/OSHA training, and ability to work with multidisciplinary team; includes scribe support and participation in training and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN/RN license in state employed or compact state
- Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices
- Experience communicating and interacting with physicians
- Analytical ability and EMR/documentation skills
- Ability to document in the electronic Medical Record
- Knowledge of HIPAA/compliance requirements
- CPR/OSHA/Compliance training as required
- Ability to organize requirements for biologics and related ordering/billing/reimbursement processes
- Good clinical judgment, active listening, and communication skills
- Scribe duties as requested/required by role
Additional Requirements
- RN/LPN/LVN scope of practice as per state board of nursing
- Medication administration only with doctor’s order and in-site provider presence
