Licensed Practical Nurse - Alberta (West)

Job Summary
Assess individual residents' needs to organize care plans promoting maximum independence and conduct pre-move-in and ongoing health assessments. Distribute medications, provide treatments, and serve meals while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Supervise attendants, answer emergency calls, and act as the primary responder during manager absences. Maintain accurate nursing records, update care plans biannually, and report incidents to the Health & Wellness Manager. Ensure a clean, safe environment and participate in multi-disciplinary care plan development. Complete mandatory training, fire drills, and pest control programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of grade 12 education
- Recognized nursing license (LPN licensing) in good standing with College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Emergency First Aid certification
- CPR certification
- AED certification
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Word and Excel)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Dependable, responsible, and ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently
- Positive attitude necessary to meet the goals and standards of the residence
- Resident-oriented individual whose visions and values align with those of the residence
- Demonstrated excellent leadership skills

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working as an LPN in a health care setting
