Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing nursing-related services, including medication administration, patient vital checks, and electronic medical record updates. This role involves participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss medical issues, facilitating weekly nursing groups, and contributing to treatment planning. Candidates must possess a current LPN license, CPR certification, and strong communication and computer skills, with a preference for those with prior experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of CO
- Graduate from an accredited school
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts
- Ability to transport objects, patients, and equipment
- Ability to respond quickly to patient needs and work at a fast pace
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills which include EMR experience (Sun Wave)
- Familiarity with patient care equipment
- Ability to work in an environment that includes the probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick
- Ability to work with potentially infectious specimens and patients
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in treatment of substance use disorders/addiction medicine/psychiatric/behavioral health
