Job Summary
Render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures. Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an acute medicine unit. Work collaboratively within a specialized team to improve patient function and protect health and safety. Advance knowledge and expertise through the Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing Excellence Track Program, including academic continuing education and specialty certification. Maintain current Georgia licensure and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Work 7A-730P with rotating weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- 7A-730P
- Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience as an LPN
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
