Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of registered nurses and medical staff, addressing physical and behavioral health needs. Maintain an active Illinois LPN license and CPR certification while navigating rotating weekend schedules with 4 shifts per week (2-8 hour and 2-12 hour blocks). Obtain necessary security clearances, including drug screening and criminal background checks, to join the full-time evening shift team at Pinckneyville Correctional Center.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Clear/Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Illinois or ability to obtain one
- Appropriate and active certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
- Full-Time Day Shift availability
- Ability to work rotating weekends
- Availability for Sun, Mon, Thu off (Weeks 1 and 3)
- Availability for Tues, Wed, Sat off (Weeks 2 and 4)
- Ability to work 4 shifts/week consisting of 2-8 hour and 2-12 hour shifts
