Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role providing direct medical care under Virginia Nurse Practice Act; duties include performing nursing procedures, maintaining inventories, mentoring medical assistants/RN/LPN staff, supporting patient-centered, team-based care, handling age-specific patient care from infancy to geriatric, participating in quality assurance and education, routing patient flow efficiently, and maintaining accurate records; includes emphasis on telephone triage, clinical judgment, documentation, and adherence to nursing guidelines and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses
- Licensed by the Virginia State Board of Nursing or from a compact state
- At least 2 years of general patient care experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Current CPR certification, preferred
- Experience in telephone triage, preferred
