Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed in Oklahoma City for full-time day-evening shift coverage (3pm-11pm) to provide direct nursing care, supervise CNAs/CMAs, ensure compliance with the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act and regulations, manage medications per the 5 Rights, perform clinical tasks (vital signs, wound care, catheters, tube feedings, discharge planning), document accurately, maintain infection control, and coordinate with the DON and residents’ families to maintain or enhance quality of care and life.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state of Oklahoma
- Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a background check
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care environment is required
- Diploma from an accredited School of Nursing is required
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job is required
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and work cooperatively with other associates
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
- Must have excellent communication and teaching skills in both individual and group settings
