Job Summary
LPN provides comprehensive nursing care to residents under supervision, directs Health Care Aides and other LPNs when charged, and practices within CLPNM scope and provincial/federal regulations and ethics. Position emphasizes clinical decision-making, patient care, and collaboration with the care team in Betel Home’s Gimli/Selkirk facilities; requires BLS, English proficiency, and experience in geriatrics/dementia care. Physical requirements include moderate to heavy exertion and successful security checks as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) or eligible for active licensure with CLPNM
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training
- Knowledge of nursing standards and CLPNM scope of practice
- Experience in geriatrics and dementia care preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with computers and electronic software
