Job Summary
Assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, water, and drainage systems while performing demolition and rough-in work. Review blueprints, adhere to building codes, and drill holes in wood and concrete. Collaborate with property managers to complete work orders efficiently, maintain accurate records of materials and costs, and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Keep job sites clean and safe during all installation or repair activities. This role supports Carabetta's residential and commercial properties with a stable, full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active P1 or P2 license (minimum) issued by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection
- Minimum of 3 years of residential/commercial plumbing experience
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety procedures, and proper tool usage
- Familiarity with soldering, pipe threading, PVC/PEX installation, and fixture replacement
- Basic computer proficiency for work orders and documentation
- Valid Connecticut driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple service calls
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school training or an electrical certification
