Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to establish baseline metrics, then create and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating manual therapy, exercise regimens, and specialized equipment. Monitor and document progress while adjusting approaches to optimize recovery outcomes, and educate patients and families on conditions, goals, and ongoing engagement. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to develop comprehensive care plans addressing all aspects of patient health. This onsite outpatient role serves a diverse demographic including children, adults, and seniors with diagnoses ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Candidates must hold a Virginia license and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families
- Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy
- Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and treatment plans
- Familiarity with assistive devices and mobility aids, including training for patients and caregivers on their use
