Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and develop tailored treatment plans for approximately seven daily patients. Implement evidence-based therapy modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrical stimulation to optimize orthopedic recovery outcomes. Educate patients and families on rehabilitation exercises and preventive care strategies while maintaining detailed documentation of treatment progress. Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to ensure integrated patient care for individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in New York State
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- At least two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree
- Experience using treatment software for documentation and patient management, such as Cliniko or a comparable system
- Familiarity with various physical therapy methods and technology, including the use of therapeutic modalities
- Skills in performing specialized assessments and creating individualized treatment protocols
