Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities to establish effective treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques including exercise regimens, hands-on therapies, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting treatments and responses in compliance with healthcare regulations. Regularly reassess patients and modify treatment plans based on their progress and evolving needs. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment protocols, ergonomic practices, and home exercise programs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal recovery pathways. Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and peer networking. Serve a diverse population including children recovering from sports injuries, adults rehabilitating from surgery, and elderly patients with chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Must possess a valid physical therapy license in the state of Connecticut
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records
- Familiarity with clinical documentation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
