Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions using exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and specialized equipment. Design and implement individualized treatment plans, regularly reassess patients to track improvements, and maintain detailed documentation in electronic health record systems. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and assistive devices to enhance self-care capabilities. Participate in professional development workshops and networking events to stay current with industry advancements. This role supports a diverse outpatient patient population including children and adults with orthopedic, sports-related, and neurological conditions. Flexible scheduling is available within the Monday to Friday framework.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Current State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in word processing
- Comfortable with computer software for clinical documentation and patient management
- A flexible and adaptable mindset
