Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their home settings to assess physical capabilities and formulate treatment strategies. Design and implement customized plans incorporating exercises, manual therapies, and adaptive tools, while monitoring progress and adjusting protocols as needed. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and proper use of assistive devices to enhance daily mobility. Maintain professionalism through continuous education and documentation of patient records. Work with diverse populations ranging from post-operative care to chronic condition management, utilizing a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Must hold a valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of New Jersey.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and their families.
- Proficient computer skills to manage patient records and documentation accurately.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in various care settings to meet patient needs.
Desired Qualifications
- While prior work experience is not mandatory, having at least 2 years of experience in a clinical or home care setting will be advantageous.
- Experience with patient documentation systems and familiarity with current physical therapy methodologies are preferred.
