Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their homes, developing individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities. Document patient progress meticulously and regularly reassess goals based on individual advancement. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, self-care techniques, and proper use of assistive devices. Work with a varied population including children, adults, and seniors to address orthopedics, neurological disorders, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain management. Maintain a flexible schedule Monday through Friday while staying informed on industry best practices through workshops and professional networks.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Must hold a valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Florida
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to document patient progress and treatment plans
- The ability to adapt flexibly to changing patient needs and treatment environments
Desired Qualifications
- While prior work experience is not mandatory, two years of experience in a related healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with home care environments and patient-focused therapy approaches will be beneficial
