Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, identifying individual needs and setting appropriate recovery goals. Develop and execute personalized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education. Provide hands-on therapy in patients' homes when necessary, focusing on real-life applications to improve daily functioning. Consult with patients and caregivers to ensure understanding of treatment protocols and home exercise programs. Use evidence-based practices to assess outcomes and adjust interventions to maximize recovery. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care across orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- A dedication to building strong relationships with patients to support continued improvement and functional success.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
