Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' functional limitations and develop personalized treatment plans for orthopedic recovery. Utilize evidence-based protocols including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to relieve pain and promote rehabilitation. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to modify care as needed and document evaluations and progress notes accurately in the electronic health record system. Oversee discharge planning by providing follow-up instructions and resources to support ongoing recovery after leaving the facility. Maintain licensure in good standing and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to stay current with best practices.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program
- A valid state license as a Physical Therapist
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques
- familiarity with current industry standards
