Job Summary
Develop and execute individualized treatment plans to alleviate pain, restore mobility, and improve functionality for clients based on detailed assessments. Oversee physical therapy assistants ensuring they execute interventions per established care plans while conducting thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests for muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities. Deliver hands-on therapeutic exercises, administer modalities like traction and massage, and customize prosthetic and orthotic device use. Assess home environments for rehabilitation opportunities and provide education to clients and families on condition management. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to strategize optimal treatment approaches and maintain meticulous clinical records documenting progress in line with OASIS regulations. This full-time role in Saint Petersburg, FL, offers a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 for a DPT holder with current Florida licensure.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Florida, in good standing.
- Sound clinical judgement and a creative approach to problem-solving within a healthcare setting.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with both patients and multidisciplinary team members.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and the ability to navigate the complexities of patient care.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
