Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, exercises, and modalities to enhance patient recovery. Maintain clear communication with patients by providing education on treatment protocols and home exercise programs. Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations. Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in ongoing training sessions, workshops, and community outreach programs. Work with a diverse client base treating orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurologic disorders, and sports-related ailments in an outpatient setting in Irvine, California.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by APTA or CAPTE
- Current state licensure in Physical Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other software for patient documentation and scheduling
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating a genuine desire to establish rapport and motivate patients
- Capability to build and maintain relationships within the local community, enhancing our outreach and patient engagement
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, ideally one to three years
- Familiarity with the latest therapeutic techniques and research in physical therapy
- A special interest in sports medicine or pediatric therapy
- Experience with community service initiatives or wellness programs
