Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing mobility, strength, and functional capacity. Develop and adapt individualized treatment plans integrating evidence-based practices, including exercise programs, manual therapy, and modalities. Monitor progress and adjust strategies to optimize rehabilitation outcomes while documenting sessions meticulously in the electronic health record system. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance holistic care and participate in clinic initiatives aimed at improving service delivery. Treat a diverse population including orthopedic injuries, pediatric patients, and athletes requiring sports medicine care. Full-time position with a salary of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license in Physical Therapy, with eligibility to practice in Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team
- Competence in utilizing computer systems and EHR software for documentation and communication
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting
- Experience working in diverse specializations such as pediatric care, orthopedic rehabilitation, and sports medicine
- Current CPR certification
