Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans using diagnostic findings and medical history. Administer diverse modalities including manual therapy, electrotherapy, and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual needs across neonates, children, adults, and geriatric populations. Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercises and injury prevention strategies while maintaining accurate documentation of all sessions and discharge summaries. Engage with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care adjustments and support the mentorship of physical therapy assistants and interns. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, departmental audits, and program evaluations to enhance clinical outcomes. Assist with operational tasks such as inventory management, equipment usage, and scheduling. Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and conferences to maintain licensure and stay current with industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- A current state Physical Therapist license
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong aptitude for patient education
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in necessary physical capabilities, including but not limited to manual dexterity, lifting, walking, and the ability to carry out physical assessments
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Experience working with a diverse patient base, particularly focusing on patient-centered and culturally competent care
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience within therapeutic settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Experience with billing processes
