Job Summary
Evaluate and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients referred by physicians, focusing on individualized recovery strategies and measurable outcomes. Implement effective therapy sessions across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine, ensuring tailored care for each patient's unique needs. Provide educational support and training to patients and their caregivers to enhance their understanding of the rehabilitation process. Utilize clinical assessments and standardized tools to measure patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions and progress toward therapeutic goals. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and enhance overall treatment approaches. Work onsite in a fully equipped Rehabilitation Center in Manassas, VA, serving a diverse population including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program
- Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including documentation software and electronic health record systems
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- At least two years of experience working as a physical therapist in a clinical setting, providing hands-on care to diverse patient populations
- Current CPR Certification
