Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine physical therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans. Utilize manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve mobility while monitoring progress by documenting treatments and adjusting plans as necessary. Educate patients and families on recovery processes, therapeutic exercises, and assistive device usage to enhance self-care and mobility. Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and conferences to stay current with best practices. This full-time role includes a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Lynchburg, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in computer skills, including documentation and email communication
- An adaptable and agile approach to practice, with the ability to respond to diverse patient needs and treatment challenges
Desired Qualifications
- Previous clinical experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting
- Familiarity with various treatment modalities and methodology for patient care, such as evidence-based practices and personalized interventions
