Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess muscle strength, joint mobility, and functional performance. Develop personalized treatment plans targeting mobility improvements and administer hands-on interventions including manual therapy, exercises, and physical agents like ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure appropriate delivery of care while documenting clinical progress in electronic medical records. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to update patient progress and modify care plans as needed. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and assistive device recommendations to support independence. Work predominantly with adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgeries or managing chronic conditions in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent educational background from an accredited institution
- A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
- At least one year of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting
- Current CPR certification for healthcare providers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and families
