Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments to create customized therapy plans addressing specific functional goals. Implement treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Monitor progress to adjust plans as needed and educate patients and families on injury prevention and home exercises. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and maintain accurate documentation of treatment outcomes. Work with diverse populations including post-surgical patients, athletes, and those with chronic pain to assist in regaining mobility.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid New York state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
Desired Qualifications
- experience in specialty areas such as sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, or neurological recovery
