Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, evaluate functional limitations, and develop personalized treatment plans for outpatient orthopedic clients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Implement and modify treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, consult with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensure timely documentation of care activities including initial evaluations, daily notes, and discharge evaluations. Uphold New Jersey state practice acts and regulations while engaging in ongoing professional development and departmental initiatives to enhance patient access and care quality. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in our Metuchen facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in New Jersey.
- Minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
- Current CPR certification to ensure immediate response capabilities in emergencies.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing advanced therapeutic modalities and technologies commonly used in orthopedic care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems that facilitate effective documentation and patient management.
- Background in multidisciplinary team collaboration to enhance holistic patient care.
