Job Summary
Assist in implementing treatment plans by providing direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications. Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to Physical Therapists, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols and self-care techniques. Accurately document all treatments and responses in compliance with facility policies while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Requires an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting, valid state licensure, and proficiency in electronic health record systems. This part-time role offers 15-25 hours per week at $34-$38/hr within HealthPro Heritage's senior living communities in Silver Spring, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
