Job Summary
Assist in implementing treatment plans by providing direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications. Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to Physical Therapists, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols and self-care techniques. Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies while collaborating with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. Full-time roles float between three facilities; part-time positions allow staying in one location.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
