Job Summary
PTA provides direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in accordance with laws and Life Care standards. Follow and implement physical therapy treatment plans, chart timely, and utilize therapy software. Interact with patients, families, and other departments to plan patient needs; maintain patient rights, safety, and confidentiality. Requires an active state license and a degree from an accredited program (ASPT); CPR certification; proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. One year of experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply. Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and adherence to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and compliance training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Demonstrates good body mechanics
- Experience: one year preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- Knowledge of practices and procedures in post-acute care facility
- Follow and implement department programs and policies
- Communicate effectively within interdisciplinary team
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
