Job Summary
The PTA provides direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in a post-acute care setting. Key duties include following established treatment plans, charting appropriately and timely, using therapy software, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring patient rights and safety, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to Life Care policies and procedures. Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong communication with patients and families, good body mechanics, independent decision-making when warranted, and delivering patient-centered care under supervision. The role emphasizes professionalism, attendance, and the ability to perform duties in a healthcare team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
