Job Summary
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant providing direct rehab care under a supervising Physical Therapist in a post-acute care setting. Responsibilities include following established PT treatment plans, charting accurately, utilizing therapy software, maintaining patient rights and safety, coordinating with patients and families, and functioning within an interdisciplinary team. Must maintain active licensure, CPR certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/email. Strong emphasis on compliance with policies, confidentiality, and professional conduct. Location: Denver, CO facility; typical duties include patient-centered care, documentation, and support for evacuation and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; CPR must remain current during employment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Demonstrate good body mechanics; independence in decision-making
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, and laws governing post-acute care facility
- Follow department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Competency in patient rights, safety, sanitation; confidentiality
- Professional conduct; comply with Life Care Code of Conduct and compliance training
- Follow physical therapy treatment plans under supervision of PT
- Chart appropriately and timely; utilize therapy software
- Excellent customer service; positive attitude toward patients
- Attend to evacuation of patients; dependable attendance
- Work in interdisciplinary team; English language proficiency
