Job Summary
PTA provides direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in post-acute care within Skilled Nursing Facility settings. Responsibilities include following prescribed therapy plans, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, documenting and communicating with patients, families and staff, and maintaining professional standards and confidentiality. The role requires active PTA licensure in the applicable state, CPR certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/email. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and adherence to Life Care standards and the Code of Conduct, with opportunities for career advancement within a supportive, team-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program (ASPT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Liaison skills with patients and families
- Demonstrate good body mechanics
- Follow physical therapy treatment plans under supervision of PT
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance training
- Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct
Desired Qualifications
