Job Summary
PTA provides direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing facility/sub-acute care setting. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program (ASPT), active state licensure, and CPR. Responsibilities include following prescribed treatment plans, charting and documentation, using therapy software, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring patient rights and safety, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to company policies. Additional duties include assessing patient needs, assisting in patient evacuation, and contributing to patient progress toward functional goals; opportunities exist for career advancement into leadership roles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program (ASPT)
- Currently licensed in applicable state; active license in good standing
- CPR certification (upon hire or during orientation) and maintained during employment
- One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
