Job Summary
Carry out physical therapy procedures according to the Plan of Care of the Registered Physical Therapist, treating patients after evaluation and counseling them on special problems with therapist advice. Maintain proper equipment and supplies, document all patient treatments, and submit written reports for any incidents or accidents. Supervise Rehab Technicians and consult with the physical therapist regarding patient progress and plan of care while interacting with other departments involved with individual patients. Participate in in-service training for clinical staff and adhere to the code of ethics of the APTA. This Full Time SNF Position in Fairhope, Alabama requires graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant school and licensure by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school for Physical Therapist Assistants
- Licensure by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to do a great deal of walking without experiencing extreme fatigue
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment supplies, and materials over 50 lbs. with the help of mechanical devices or other personnel
- Must be able to operate electrical equipment
