Job Summary
Greet patients professionally, identify them via ID or medical records, and draw blood using appropriate needles and techniques. Label samples correctly, decipher the best drawing method for each patient, and send specimens for testing. Complete necessary documentation for all lab work, enter data into patient records, and submit forms timely while maintaining infection control standards. Maintain medical unit supplies in laboratory and exam rooms. Work with diverse patient populations and attend required meetings. Bilingual required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in CPR
- Phlebotomy License Required
- Minimum one year of Phlebotomy experience
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and a self-starter with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer proficiency
- Bilingual required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is highly desirable
