Job Summary
Pharmacy Floor Technician role supporting daily pharmacy operations by accurately preparing prescription medications for final pharmacist verification. Responsible for filling daily prescription orders, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for verification; processing returned medications; pre-packaging frequently ordered medications; packaging materials; pulling medications from shelving; applying labels to blister cards and scanning for accuracy; alerting the pharmacist to discrepancies; maintaining clean, organized workstations and replenishing stock; complying with HIPAA and all safety/regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with weekend rotation; overtime/holidays may be required. Location: Burr Ridge, IL. Requires High School diploma and active IL Pharmacy Technician License; preferred prior pharmacy technician experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active, clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to work at a consistent, moderate pace
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday
- Ability to stand or sit for 7–10 hours per day
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
