Job Summary
Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration. Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled, while making recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and client facility staff when necessary. Maintain customers' databases including medical history and clinical data, investigate and resolve medication-related queries, and communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Supervise the preparation of medicines, maintain registers of controlled drugs for legal and stock control, and ensure proper security conditions for medications. Perform on-call duties when required. Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida with Long Term Care experience preferred.
