Job Summary
Dispense medications by accurately counting, measuring, and labeling packages while counseling patients on side effects and proper usage. Verify prescription order accuracy, clarify orders with healthcare providers, and manage inventory including receiving, storing, and placing supply orders. Maintain records of all pharmacy operations, comply with Healthcare and HIPAA regulations, and align with California State Board of Pharmacy rules for controlled substances. Direct and oversee pharmacy technicians and support personnel to ensure safe and effective medication use. Requires a registered and licensed PharmD with an active California license, bilingual Spanish skills, and experience in pharmaceutical calculations and staff supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Registered & Licensed PharmD and active California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Bilingual in Spanish
- 1-2 years' experience performing Pharmacist duties
- Basic pharmaceutical calculations such as sufficient quantity and days' supply
- Experienced with overseeing supporting staff
