Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive screenings, tests, and evaluations to create individualized treatment plans for patients with injuries, diseases, and disabilities. Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose and treat conditions across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy procedures, expected outcomes, and self-management strategies. Document all patient interactions thoroughly and in a timely manner while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care. Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and students, and engage in program development and marketing strategies to enhance service offerings. Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through continuous education and workshops. Work onsite in our outpatient office in Norfolk, Virginia, Monday through Thursday (3 PM to 7 PM) with a half-day on Friday.
Required Qualifications
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A proven clinical background with at least two years of experience in a healthcare setting
- The physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, manual dexterity, and other physical tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Additional certifications, specialty training, or experience treating specific patient populations
- Experience with outcome measurement tools to assess and improve patient satisfaction and recovery rates
