Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations of patients to establish physical capabilities and limitations, then create comprehensive, personalized plans of care for orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Oversee and apply a variety of therapeutic techniques using evidence-based practice, while continuously monitoring progress to adjust treatment strategies based on objective data from advanced software tools. Prepare thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain compliance with department policies. Work directly with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment plans and provide patient education on exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited physical therapy program
- A current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida; a temporary permit is acceptable while pursuing licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthcare Provider certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in treating orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- A solid understanding of various rehabilitation protocols
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and workflow management
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting to optimize patient care outcomes
