Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs, goals, and functional limitations, then develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based methods. Manage a patient caseload providing individualized sessions that utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques alongside exercise interventions to improve mobility and strength. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting protocols as needed while documenting all interactions in the WebPT EMR system. Educate patients on injury prevention and self-management strategies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians to coordinate comprehensive care. Focus primarily on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries and sports-related injuries to restore function and manage pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Current and valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- An untarnished professional record free from disciplinary actions
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Proficiency in evidence-based exercise protocols
- Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Experience utilizing WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with patients
- Demonstrated ability to motivate patients throughout treatment journeys
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
