Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-operative conditions, and chronic pain. Manage a patient caseload by delivering one-on-one therapeutic interventions, implementing tailored fitness programs, and utilizing evidence-based methodologies to restore mobility. Document progress meticulously in electronic medical records and stay current on industry trends through professional development workshops. This role supports a team of two physical therapists and one PTA at our Tallahassee facility, focusing on reducing medication reliance and providing alternatives to surgical measures.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist without any disciplinary actions on record
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Exceptional expertise in developing and implementing clinically sound exercise protocols
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Prior work experience in orthopedic outpatient settings
- Experience designing and presenting patient education programs that foster understanding of therapy benefits and lifestyle changes
- A track record of successfully managing diverse patient populations
- Demonstrating clinical reasoning in treatment planning
