Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify specific needs and establish personalized treatment plans. Utilize therapeutic techniques including exercise, modalities, and manual therapy to facilitate recovery from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain. Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting plans as necessary, while instructing patients and families on proper techniques and assistive device usage. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss care plans and stay abreast of field advancements through professional development workshops. Engage primarily with pediatric and elderly patients recovering from musculoskeletal conditions to help them regain mobility and return to daily activities with confidence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong proficiency with computer systems and documentation software used in patient records
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to various patient needs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in orthopedic rehab
- Familiarity with current physical therapy best practices, including therapeutic techniques and modalities
