Job Summary
Evaluate and implement physical therapy interventions to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function for orthopedic patients. Utilize diagnostic assessments to develop tailored treatment strategies, administer manual therapy techniques, and modify care plans based on regular progress assessments. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, coordinate interdisciplinary care through case conferences, and educate patients on home care programs and safety protocols. Document evaluations and clinical records accurately while engaging in professional development to maintain current practice standards.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia
- One (1) year of professional experience as a physical therapist in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and team members
- A strong dedication to clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and ethical practice
