Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive orthopedic therapy treatment to prevent disability, relieve pain, and improve muscle function according to individualized care plans. Perform thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests, assess home environments for independence recommendations, and administer manual therapy techniques including therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities. Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants while documenting all patient care aspects including progress notes and discharge summaries. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to comprehensive treatment planning and progress evaluations. Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and therapeutic device usage.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing within New Jersey
- At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
