Job Summary
Conduct individualized physical therapy treatment programs to prevent disability, mitigate pain, and enhance muscle function per tailored plans of care. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure treatment adherence and quality standards while performing thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic tests. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual and non-manual modalities, and instruct patients in functional activities safely. Assess home environments for rehabilitation needs, recommend modifications, and adjust prosthetic or orthotic devices per physician directives. Document clinical assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately, communicating regularly with patients and families regarding therapy techniques. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to develop and revise patient care plans. Maintain a structured Monday to Friday schedule in our Carteret, NJ facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee
- A minimum of two years of direct experience in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Current CPR certification
