Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities to form detailed treatment plans focusing on mobility, pain alleviation, and functional restoration. Utilize diverse therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation to support recovery. Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and daily living activities tailored to individual needs. Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans, progress, and self-care strategies. Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care. Engage in continuous professional development to remain informed about the latest methodologies in orthopedic rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- An active state Physical Therapy license to practice in Florida.
- A minimum of one year's experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
- Outstanding clinical assessment skills and the ability to design and implement effective treatment strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering rapport with patients and team members.
- Must be available for regular business hours, typically Monday through Friday, from either 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
- Experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
