Job Summary

Conduct orthopedic physical therapy treatments in clients' homes, focusing on rehabilitation, pain relief, and mobility enhancement. Perform thorough diagnostic evaluations of muscles, nerves, and joints, while assessing home environments to recommend safety modifications. Direct physical therapy assistants and lead interdisciplinary team discussions to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Deliver prescribed services using exercise regimens and manual treatments, and regularly document clinical evaluations, OASIS assessments, and discharge summaries. Educate patients and families on care plans and therapeutic devices. Requires current Virginia licensure, doctorate degree, and one year of experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state PT licensure, in good standing, as required for practice in Virginia
  • CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Automobile insurance
  • At least one year of experience as a physical therapist
  • Experience as a physical therapist in acute or home care settings
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in home health care settings, providing therapy services directly in clients' residences
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing physical therapy practices and home healthcare services
